BADLY HOLED
STEAMER IN COLLISION
LONDON, September 3. In dense fog off Portugal the Port Chalmers (8535 tons) bound for Australia, collided with the City■ of .Oran (7323 tons), the latter being badly holed. Her number one hold is full and she is slowly heading for.l^bon. The Port Chalmers advised by wireless that her stem was extensively damaged above the water line. Her forepeak tank is leaking and she requires docking.
