WELCOME AND FAREWELL
The Welsh Society held a social recently at the Cambridge Terrace schoolroom to welcome Mrs. Michael, a prominent social and prison reform worker from Swansea, Wales, and to say good-bye to Mr. and Mrs. Percy Roberts, who are returning to reside in North Wales.
Mrs. Michael gave a brief address, and she was wished a pleasant holiday here and safe return to continue her great work at Swansea. Mr. and Mrs. Roberts were presented with some Maori curios. Musical items and- a play-reading were followed by the serving of a home-made savoury supper.
