MUIR—LAMBERT.

The Methodist Church, at Lower Hutt was beautifully decorated with lilium aratum, Michaelmas- daisies, and mauve asters for the wedding of Edna Francis, only daughter of Mrs. E. Lambert, Lower Hutt, to Cedric Alfred, youngest son of Mr. and. Mrs. H. F. Muir, also of the Hutt. The Rev. H. T. Peat conducted the ceremony. and Mr. Ronald Horman was organist for the fully choral wedding. During the signing of the register "Because" was sung by Mr. Ernest Glading..

The bride was escorted by her brother, Mr. T. Lambert. Her trained frock was of magnolia French satin cut on classical lines, with full sleeves and shirred bodice shaped to a V-neck in the front, fastened with a pearl clip, and cowled at the back. Her tulle veil was gathered to a halo of orange blossom, and she carried, a sheaf of white roses, begonias, and gladioli, arranged with maidenhair fern.

The bridesmaids were Miss Beryl Adams (chief) and Miss Maedis Mouat (Hawke's Bay). Their frocks were of lavender taffetas ■ with stiffened net overskirts appliqued with violet' velvet pansies,' small puff sleeves, and shirred bodices with square necklines edged with smaller pansies. ( Shirred taffetas muffs were carried, and haloes worn of tulle with handovers of pansies.

. Mr. Errol Muir (brother of the bridegroom) was best man, and Mr. Cyril Lambert groomsman. Messrs. L. Muir and A. Lambert were ushers.

I Mauve asters and Michaelmas daisies arranged with birch were used for the tables in .the Horticultural Hall, where the reception was held. ■ The guests were received by Mrs. Lambert, wearing an ensemble of. Kenya red crepe majeste, fashioned with faggoted bodice, and flared coat trimmed with black fur. Mrs. Lambert carried a bouquet to tone. Mrs. H. F. Muir wore an ensemble of beige lace, the sleeves of the coat finished with brown fur. Her bouquet was of autumn-tinted flowers. "
