PARIS, March 10,
A thousand hotel ■ and restaurant employees paraded the boulevards demanding the abolition of tipping and declaring that they preferred salaries. Twenty were arrested before the crowd was dispersed by the police.

The stay-in strike on the liner Nor> mandie has been settled and the vessel will sail tomorrow.
