Atkinson, was married to "Ronald,, younger son of; Mr. and JVlrs'. H. Scotney, Rau'mati South. The bride/who was escorted by her father, wore a gown of, deep cream georgette made on very graceful lines. An unusual feature was the graduated tucks from the high neckline to the full length of the train. Her Chantilly lace, veil was held ;n place by a coronet of orange blossom, and she carried a beautiful sheaf of lilies. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss M. Atkinson. She wore a frock of parchment lace , with velvet sash to match, a wide brimmed hat of Baku straw trimmed with velvet, and carried an armshower of beautiful sunset begonias and maidenhair fern.
Mr. O. Scotney was best man.
During the signing of the register the solo "Where E'er You" Walk" (Handel) was sung by Mrs. A. A. D. McGregor. On leaving the church the bride was presented with a silver horseshoe by Mrs. Cull. | Mrs. Atkinson, assisted by Mrs. Scotney, received the guests at a reception in the private lounge of the Empire Hotel. The bride's mother wore a smart chocolate brown ensemble with a hat of the same : shade, and she carried an autumn-tinted bouquet. The bridegroom's mother was dressed in a model frock of midnight blue with hat to match, her bouquet being of deepest red roses.
• Later when the bride and bridegroom left by car for a tour of the North Island the bride wore a smartly tailored black costume with accessories to match.
