WATSON—GRAY.

The wedding took place at St. Andrew's Church, The Terrace, Wellington, recently, of Barbara Alice Mary, only daughter of Mrs. M. A. Gray and the late Mr. W. Gray, Wellington, to Arthur, third son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Watson, Christchurch. The Rev. A. B. Kilroy officiated.

The bride, who was escorted by Mr. J. Staples, wore a gown of cream satin with a cowl neckline and tightfitting sleeves tapering to a point over the hands. The skirt was cut on the cross, and a flounce from the waist down the centre front continued round the hem, forming a pointed train. Her beautifully embroidered veil was cnught into a halo of orange blossoms and formed a second train. She carried a bouquet of cream begonias and' roses. Her chief attendant was Miss Bety Brickley, who wore an eau de nil lace frock and carried a bouquet of pink gladioli and roses. The flowergirl, Caren Austin, wore a frock of eau de nil stiffened net gathered into a lattice-work bodice, and carried a pgsy to match the bridesmaid's bouquet. Both attendants wore petalled caps of matching organdie. * The church was beautifully decorated by. Mrs. E. Aitken and Miss N. Morey, friends of the bride. During the signing of the register; Mrs. E. Hoy sang "Because." , ; Mr. Q. V. Richardson was best man, and Mr. F. Hoy acted as usher at the church. i A reception was held in; the Mokoia Hall, where Mrs. Gray, mother of the bride, received the guests. She was wearing a black lace frock with a cowl neckline caught to the side with a long diamante brooch. Her hat was of black baku straw relieved with white. Dancing was enjoyed by the guests until a late hour. Caren Austin gave two dance items and Mrs. E. Hoy sang two solos.

For travelling the bride wore a navy blue costume with accessories to match.
