The wedding was solemnised at the Catholic. Apostolic Church, Webb Street, recently, when Ruth Ada, youngest .. daughter , of. Mr. and Mrs. K. C. McCaull, Brooklyn, was married to "Pat," only son of Mrs. and the late Mr.' A. A. Orr, Ashburton. Mr. Alex Stark played the wedding music.

The bride, who was escorted by her brother, chose heavy oyster, satin for her gown, which was made on classical lines,,, with a long train falling from the waist. The bodice was closefitting, with a cowl neck and leg. o'; mutton sleeves, the, back being fastened to the waist with tiny satin buttons and loops. The long tulle veil, which was fastened to the head with a coronet of orange blossom,'fell behind to form a second train. An arm shower of pale pink, roses and maidenhair fern completed a charming ensemble.

The bridesmaid, Miss Trixie Boyd, wore a dainty frock and" coatee of pink ring velvet, the bodice being rucked, and finished with diamante clips. She wore a headband of pink flowers and carried a bouquet to match.

The best man was Mr.: Bob Orr, Christchurch.

A reception was,: held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Gillies (cousins of the bride), Lindum Terrace, Oriental Bay. For the interior decorations hydrangeas, were used in shades of vieux rose, pink, blue; and pale green. The guests were received. by Mrs. G. Emery, sister, of the. bride,, and the bridegroom's mother. Mrs. Emery wore a floral.chiffon frock with large picture hat and carried a bouquet to tone. The bridegroom's mother wore a black satin ensemble with black hat and carried a posy of -pink flowers. When the bridal couple left by car on a tour of the North Island, the bride was wearing a cherry cloque ensemble with' l.avy blue trimming, hat and accessories to match, and carried a stone marten fur, the gift of the bridegroom. . Their future home will be in Wellington.
