THE TRIPLE GROWN
Parisienne, winner of the Sapling Stakes, New Zealand Derby, and Great Northern Derby, is only the second horse to accomplish the "Triple Crown" of trotting. The first to do so was Taurckareka, in 1923. Taurekareka, a brown gelding by Cathedral Chimes or Match-light from Mountain Rose, by Rothschild—Wild Rose, by Boston—Pitchdark (imp.), was trained by J. Bryce for his classic successes. Many years later he went to Perth, where he raced successfully, until he . was nearly fifteen.
