OBITUARY
MR JOHN ALGIE Mr. John Algie, who died this week at Wellington, was an Australian by birth, but for over twenty years prior to his retirement was on the staff of the New Zealand Government Printing Office. In private life the deceased was an ardent worker in the many activities of the Vivian Street Baptist Church. At the service in the mortuary chapel the Rev. L. J. Boulton Smith, who also officiated at the interment, paid a high tribute to the Christian ideals of Mr. Algie, and his unobtrusive generosity. The funeral was attended by many friends, representatives of the executive, and various organisations of the Government Printing Office, and Printing Trades' Union.
