WEAK AND IRREGULAR
The butter market in London is weak and irregular, according to information supplied by the New Zealand Dairy Board, by arrangement with the Primary Products Marketing Department. Wholesale quotations for New Zealand butter are 4s to 5s a cwt lower. The retail price is unchanged at Is Id a lb', but the price for Danish has been reduced to Is 2d. The cheese market is quiet with little change in prices. Wholesale quotations for butter are: —New Zealand, salted; 99s to 100s a cwt, compared with 104s the previous week and 88s to 89s a year ago; unsalted, 106s to 108s; Australian, 96s to 98s: Danish, spot, 110s to 112s. Wholesale cheese prices are:—New Zealand, white and coloured, 63s to 63s 6d; Canadian, 70s to 725; finest English farmers'. 86s to 88s; English factory cheese, 60s to 64s (both mar-kets-firm).
