THE MEAT STOCK POSITION.
(By Telegraph—Pros? Assn.—CopvrtL'ht.) LONDON, December 20. The lamb market has been relatively stable owing to moderate arrivals from Australia and South America, arid the undertone is satisfactory. Estimated stocks at. November 30:—Australia, 200,000; New Zealand, 300,000; South; American, 250,000 carcasses. The estimated consumption averages 260,000 carcasses a week. .
Chilled beef has fluctuated during recent weeks, ,but a better tone now prevails. Fortunately, supplies of Dominion chilled beef are not heavy.
