APPOINTMENT OF JUDGES

A meeting of the executive of the Wellington-Hawke's Bay Pipe Band Centre was held on Saturday evening, there being present Pipe-Major T. G. Bodding (president), Pipe/Major V. J. Nicholson, Piper W. Allen (Palmerston North), Pipe-Major C. Stewart (Wellington Caledonian), Drum-Major M. R. Price (Scots College), Pipers G. Dick (Feilding), J. Taylor (Wellington Regimental Pipes and Drums), W. Smith (Hunterville), Messrs. C. Stewart (Ruahine), and M. Gray Nasmith (secretary). . .'•...

It wad resolved to open the contest with the quickstep at 1.30 p.m., followed by the test selection and the drummajors' display. The street parade of the competing bands will start from the Municipal Opera House, Palmerston North, at 1.30 p.m. Final arrangements for the contest were left in the hands of the secretary and the Palmersion North delegates.
