MORE BUILDINGS
BRITISH INDUSTRIES FAIR
(British Official Wireless.)
RUGBY, September 22. In anticipation of a heavy demand for space at the British Industries Fair in Coronation year, the. fair management committee has decided on an important extension of the fair buildings at Birmingham which will result in the quadrupling of the original area of 1920.
Bookings for the textiles section in the new Earl's Court buildings already, indicate the effect of the Coronation in fresh demands on the cotton, woollen, and rayon industries. Exports of British textile manufactures from January to August this year are nearly £3,000,000 ahead of the same period last year, and a continued increase of the overseas demand for United Kingdom textiles is expected.
