Randwick training was rather spoiled by rain. On the course .proper Mala was responsible for the best work of the morning, running a mile in lmin 43sec, the first half in. 51sec with Prince's Son. He was then joined by Golden Treasure, the latter naturally going the better at the finish.

Custos worked very easily, taking 57sec for the last half-mile of his' gallop.

Allunga is looking well after his race at Victoria Park yesterday. His trainer is now confident he will go on the right way. ■ ;

Pladie did a mile in lmin 47sec. Ha lecw Verberry and went well.

Gold Rod, in view of a strenuous gallop on Tuesday, was not worked.'

Cuddle displayed keenness when running half a mile on the tan in 51? sec. •
