INTO THE RIVER
THREE MEN HURT
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, 'This Day. Early on Sunday morning a car driven by Lancelot William Donaldson, an employee at the Burwood Station, failed to negotiate a corner on the road from Mossburn to the Public Works camp at Mount Hamilton, and crashed over a 25-foot bank into the river. The driver escaped unhurt, but three passengers were injured. Charles Webb, of Invercargill, suffered severe head injuries and a broken right leg;. Edward William Bedwell, head injuries: and Ralph Cole Scott, head injuries and fractured ribs. The victims were brought by ambulance; to the Southland Hospital. Their condition is reported to be satisfactory.
