PLANT FOR EVANS BAY
The condenser section of the new steam generator for the Evans Bay power station has arrived from England by the Tamaroa. It is the first equipment of the additional 15,000 k.w. plant to be delivered, and will be follbwed shortly by the turbine and generating sections,, from the same makers, C. A. Parsons and Co., New-castle-on-Tyne, and later by the Velox "steam generators," manufactured by Brown-Boveri and Co., Switzerland. The foundations for the condenser, turbine, and generator are already practically complete, having been laid to precise measurements to take the machinery and the intricate steam, water, and air-cooling lines,
