ABYSSINIA TO ATTEND
(Received September 17, 9.40 a.m.) GENEVA, September 16. Abyssinia is sending a delegation, including Dr. Azaj Martin and Dr. Gaston Jeze, to the meeting of the League Assembly.
A cable received from Rome on September 11 stated that it was, understood that Signor Mussolini would not press his demand for the exclusion of Abyssinia from the League as an essential to Italy's representation at Geneva, but that Haile Selassie would be quietly urged not to send a representative to the Assembly.; It was believed. that there would be a tacit understanding not to raise the Abyssinian question.
