THE BRITISH DELEGATION
COUNCIL SITS FIRST

(Received September 17, 11.20 a.m.) RUGBY, September 16. Lord Cranborne, Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs, left London yesterday by road for Geneva, where he expects to arrive tomorrow in readiness for the opening of the League Council meeting, at which, in the absence of the Foreign Secretary, Mr. Anthony Eden, he will lead the British delegation. Mr. Eden will reach Geneva on Monday in time for the opening of the meeting of the Assembly. He will fly to Paris on Sunday afternoon and proceed by train. Lord Halifax will travel from London to Geneva by rail on Sunday. Other members of the. British delegation will leave London on Saturday.
