Some towns, including . Hawera, Patea, Opunake, and Manaia, have already made the change to Saturday. The problem may be settled by Order in Council if the Government is satisfied the great'majority c£ people desire the change. ,

New Plymouth has had a Saturday holiday for many years and the varying days on which the holiday has been observed throughout the district have beep confusing to business and sport.
