AT HIGH SPEED
OPERATIONS IN QUEEN MARY
LINER'S STEADINESS
(Received September 15, 1 p.m:) LONDON, September 14. The ship's surgeon operated for appendicitis on both the. outward and homeward journeys of the liner on the Queen Mary's latest voyage. The operations were carried out while the ship was speeding at 29 knots, the vessel being so steady that it was not necessary to slacken speed.
