NEW ZEALAND LEADS IN MEAT CONSUMPTION '
LONDON, September 14. The fourth League of Nations volume published under the. guidance of the Nutrition Committee, reveals that British Empire countries are the largest meat-eaters. New Zealand leads with an annual per capita consumption of 2361b, followed by Australia 2021b, Canada 1441b; and Britain 1401b. The United States, with 1361b, leads foreign countries, after which comes Denmark 1201b and Germany 1101b. The largest sugar consumer is Denmark, with 1201b per capita. Britain consumes 1101b, Australia 1071b, and the United States 1031b.
Switzerland consumes 58 gallons of milk, the United States 39, Denmark 36, New Zealand 28, and Britain, France, and Germany, 23 each.
