R.S.A. PARTIES

During the week the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Brooklyn branch of the R.S.A. held several social functions. The weekly euchre party was a greater sucqess-than is usual, the games being keenly contested. The prize-winners were Mr. Troughton ■vand Miss Mox!ham.l respectively, and Mr. W. Makin and. Mrs;: Druie were presented with consolation prizes. ■ The chairman after "supper.announced some interesting ■events ;for. the future: . The Ladies'. Club had a club afternoon when a large gathering of members were present.: Games were the order of ,the .day, carpet bowls being very popular, the players taking a very keen interest in this form of entertainment. The convener, Mrs. B. E. Wright, welcomed the visitors, and mentioned that the club was open to the wives of returned soldiers resident in the district. She expressed the appreciation of. the committee and herself upon the success so far attained. A dainty afternoon tea was served.
