BLENHEIM PRISONERS

(By Telegraph.—Press Assooiatiou.) BLENHEIM, This Day. Found guilty after his trial on a charge of attempted false pretences by endeavouring to have a cheque cashed at a bank where he had no account, John Joseph Francis Kennedy, aged 21, labourer, was admitted to two years' probation by Mr. Justice Ostler today. Percy Preston Pierce, married, a labourer, charged alternatively with indecent and common assault on a domestic servant employed by him, pleaded guilty to the minor count and was admitted to probation for a year. Both prisoners were ordered to pay the costs of prosecution.
