"PENALTY TOO EXTREME"

BOMBAY, July 14. Expressing the opinion that the dismissal of Amar Nath from the touring Indian cricket team last month was an extreme punishment, the Nawab or Bhopal has reinstated Amar Nath to the team, which he will rejoin bv air on July 23. He will make an unqualified apology to the manager
The president of the Indian Board of_ Control, in a statement on June 23 said that Amar Nath had more than" once been impertinent to the captain and his behaviour on June 18 had been most objectionable. He had been a disturbing influence in the team and therefore it was impossible for the manager. to overlook his deplorable behaviour. There was no question of the authorities in India interfering with the decision of the officials on ine spot.
