ENGAGEMENT CELEBRATED

To celebrate the engagement of their son.. Hugh' to. Miss Marjorie Murray, Mr. and Mrs. Martyri Williams gave a party to over sixty of their young friends recently. Cheery fires , were burning in all the rooms used, and poppies, holly, and early spring flowers filled every corner available.

A delicious home-made supper was served, after which toasts were proposed and drunk. Miss Murray wore a pink velvet and organdie frilled dress with a spray of pirik and blue flowers. Mrs. Williams was in beige georgette with a cyclamen spray, and Mrs. Murray wore black Frenchembroidered mariette. ' ' :
