The following are the results of the quarter-finals for the Pulley Cup at Waiwetu:-rJ. J. Cheevers (7) beat C. Halford (22), 4 and 2; R. G. Holland (2) beat A..Lewis (16), 2 and 1; W. Allen (22) beat "W. F. Gill (11), 5 and 3; J. B. Wallace (8) beat A. N. Tosswill (18), 6 and 5. The semi-finals resulted as follows:—Cheevers beat Holland, 2 and 1; Wallace beat Allen, 5 and 3.
A mixed foursome for the president's trophy was won" by R. G. Holland and Mrs. Hatfield, with a net score of 70.
The senior- stroke event on Sunday was won by G. R. Millward, 77, 9—t6B, and.L. L. Mitchell, 81, 13—68, followed by F: McMillan, 88, 18—70; and the junior, stroke by R. W.Gray, 87, 20— 67. J. Jackson did 94, 22—72. The fourball1 best-ball bogey resulted in a tie between R. Croft (16) and R. W. Gray (15), 4 up, and J. B. Wallace (6) and A. P. Smith (10), 4 xip.
