The runners, who were in three packs, were dispatched at inA erv-Sjs i,by the club President, Mr. H. A. Walker. Starting from the Hutt racecourse the paper led along Graceneld Road, up. the steep slopes of the pipe track, and down the road into Wainiu Valley. Approaching "Robbie's Mistake the • runners encountered plenty of water jumps and dry, gorsecovered land as far as Fitzherbert Koad. The home route was via the main Wainui Road. Maintaining a good pace throughout the journey, the runners" showed good form.
