WELLINGTON CLUB
The Wellington Harrier Club held a run from the Methodist Sunday School, Karori. Members enjoyed a long slow run "over the hills and far away" in preparation for the Vosseler Shield race.
The trail started from Parkvale Road and led.up to the ridge of the hills. It ran along the ridge for about 2£ miles' and dipped down the valley and . over the wind break on the road to Mafcara. Crossing-the road,, the trail circled around the hills for about three miles and followed the tramline back to the' school.. ,
Ia < view of the attendance in the DorneCup race and'the fact that the race is earlier:/this year, a-larger number of starters js expected in the Voss£ler,aomile.s);rac§,..,,The l beach will prpbably.be hard,'?as:lihe~full tide occurs at 3,30, and the new Military Road is in the opinion of some harriers harder :than the track. Competition is expected to be rather keener than previously, as several new clubs are making themselves felt The Wellington Club extends a hearty welcome to all old runners and supporters to be present. The race is to start at 245 p.m. . ■ ■
