PRESBYTERIAN CLUB
The Presbyterian Club held a run from the Miramar Church. Forty-two runners, in four packs, followed a six.mile trail leading from Argentine Avenue north along Para Street to Darlington -Road, up Camperdown Koad to Napier Street, and then down .Pretoria Street to the Karaka Bay Road. The trail then turned south along the-Parade, up Falkirk Avenue, and Inglis.Street, through the Seatoun cutting, and along the Breaker Bay Road towards Moa Point. The paper then led up the hill, and connected with Beacon Road, along Townshend Road, Otaki. and Ina Streets, back to the church. The run was a very enjoyable one, and was taken at a fast pace m view of next week's race The hills were hard, but. the flat going served to alleviate any leg soreness The racing pack- caught up with the fast, pack. after about two miles, and then W. Cowan was leading A. Congalton by about 25 yarfis, both going solidly. M. Pumfrey' and W. Moore, of the fast pack, made willing pacemakers for that pack. A run-in was held over the final 250 yards, and resulted: F. Morton 1, A. Congalton 2.
Afternoon tea, served by the young women, concluded an enjoyable afternoon's entertainment.'
Members not competing in the Vosseler Shield race are to have an alternative, run from the bathing sheds at 2.30.- All. members arc to wear their club colours.
