In the Davis Cup European zone G. yon Cramm (Germany) defeated J. Pallada (Yugoslavia), 6-4, 6-2, 6-8, 6-2.
H. Henkel (Germany) defeated F. Puncec (Yugoslavia), 6-1, 6-2, 6-2.
Germany thus leads Yugoslavia by two matches to nil.
Yon Cramm has fully recovered, and Henkel, who was in his top form, had a surprisingly easy win. Puncec, who is ranked No. 1- in Yugoslavia, started poorly. He improved later, but Henkel was always the master.
