ROBBERY ALLEGED
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., This Day. In the Magistrate's Court Rawiri Makariki, labourer, aged 24, of Koputaroa, was charged with robbing William Edward de Ridder at Shannon of £7 10s, also with using personal violence to de Ridder. The accused was remanded till Thursday. The charges are the outcome of an incident at Shannon on Saturday night, when de Ridder, while walking near Shannon Station going to friends, was attacked by some man and knocked unconscious. When he came to he was suffering from facial injuries and his money was gone.
