FOOTBALLER-ATHLETE
TRANSFERRED TO WEL-
LINCTON
E. R. G. Steere, former Hawke's Bay and New Zealand Rugby representative, who has been stationed in Wanganui since leaving Hawke's Bay some time ago, has received notice of his transfer to the Lower Hutt branch of the Bank of New Zealand. Although he represented Wanganui at Rugby after going there, and appeared in last year's trials, he has not taken the same active part in the game this season. He was a member of New Zealand Rugby teams in 1928, 1929, 1930, 1931, and 1932. He is also well known as an athlete, specialising in field events and winning provincial championship honours, as well as representing his province at the New Zealand championships.
