EASY FOR FLAMMARION

Flammarion was backed down, to a short price for the Konini Hack Handicap, and he won easing up by a good two lengths. He went round the leaders to assume charge after going a couple of furlongs, which proved the end of the race so far as the others were concerned. He was ridden by N Cavaney, an apprentice attached to F. W- Davis's stable who is riding in excellent form at present. . . Silver Wings looked fairly safe half-way down the straight, but Royal Solo and Helen Ford came up fast from the rear, and Helen Ford, on the outer, just beat Royal Solo by inches, with Silver Wings a head away. Royal Solo would have been tlie other dividend-payer if she had moved out sooner in the straight. Fleeting Arrow and Silver Song both stopped over the closing stage.
