PICTURE CHARGES

(To the Editor.)

Sir,— Though the member of ' the New Zealand Motion Picture -Exhibitors' Association has made a fair reply to "Film Fan's" protest, justifying the change of prices, I consider we suburbanites have still a grievance. Why should not the prices be advertised? As it costs 2d to .4d to pay the fare to town in the first place, most of us look carefully at the price of admission. "Prices as usual" means nothing. Recently we went to town to a matinee which advertised gallery seats. On arriving early we were told we could have back Stalls, as they were not opening the gallery. Being too short to see in the back stalls, we went sadly away—l am, etc.,

THRIFTY SUBURBANITE.
