TODD—MALFROY.

A wedding which interested a wide circle of friends took place yesterday afternoon at the Basilica, Hill Street, when Andrew, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs.'Charles Todd, Bolton Street, Wellington, and Monica Mary, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Mal'i'roy, Murphy Street, were married. The ceremony was • performed by the Rev. Father Milligan, and Miss Milligan played appropriate organ music.

The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a dainty frock of beige needlerun lace with a graduated deeppleated frill, forming at the back a small train. The under dress was of georgette to tone. The bodice had a bateau neck, and a brown velvet sash made a charming finish. Her hat was of brown lace straw with stiffened border of lace, with eye-veil effect. The bouquet carried was of lovely yellow shaded roses. Miss Sheila Todd was bridesmaid, wearing a frock of ninon in hydrangea pink and blue tones, and a large hat ■of natural tinted leghorn straw with a narrow blue ribbon trimming. Her bouquet was of pink carnations and blue myosotis with maidenhair fern. Mr. Bob Whyte was best man.

Mr. and Mrs. Malfroy gave a very happy reception at their home in Murphy Street in the late afternoon, the latter wearing a smart frock of renaissance blue crepe romain, with a narrow petunia embroidered vest, and a posy of matching flowers. Her hat was of blue to tone with the frock, and the bouquet carried was of shaded roses. Mrs. Todd wore Lido blue silk crepe with trellis trimming on bodice and sleeves, inset also in the skirt. Her wide hat was of natural tinted straw with blue ribbon trimming, and her bouquet was of roses and cornflowers.. Among the relatives present were Mrs. White (Hastings), in brown marocain trimmed with white and a matching hat; Miss Enright, blue marocain with white coin spots, blue and white hat; Mrs. Desmond Todd, floral crepe de chine, large black hat; Mrs. Brian Todd, black crepe with duckegg blue bretelles and yoke, small black hat; Misses Grant (2), Mr. Arnadeo, Mr. F. Thejiouse was charmingly decorated with quantities of lovej/ pink and blue blossoms, arranged by Mrs. W. Pearce, the wedding cake standing in a bed of pink and cream toned roses. When the bride and bridegroom left, amid a chorus of good wishes .from their friends, the bride wore a charming frock of mushroom pink silk crepe with hand-made flowers to tone round the neckline, and a smart brown hat of fine straw, and a matching wrap.
