ELLSWORTH SEARCH
THE AUSTRALIAN PLANS
WASHINGTON, December 9.
President Roosevelt, through the State Department, today expressed gratification at the Australian relief plans to assist Mr. Lincoln Ellsworth, and indicated that he had been in communication with the Australian Government and had mentioned the ordering of the Discovery for possible use in the search. He felt that every effort to expedite the relief schedule had been made. He was following personally with great interest all plans being formulated to aid in the search for Mr. Ellsworth.
