PARTY AT ROSENEATH
A SUCCESSFUL EFFORT
Mrs. Sprott officiated at the opening of a garden party, held recently at the home of Mr. and Mrs. K. D. Vickery, at Roseneath, arranged by the Ladies' Guild of St. Barnabas' Anglican Church.
On arrival Mrs. Sprott was presented with a charming bouquet of flowers, a similar compliment being paid to Mrs. McLevie (wife of the Vicar) and Mrs. H. D. Vickery. the Rev. Mr. McLevie, iii introducing Mrs. Sprott, thanked her for coming, and also Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Vickery for granting the use of their beautiful home and grounds for the party. The members of vestry, Ladies' Guild, Bible classes, and other helpers were ' all cordially thanked for the assistance given", which made such a successful effort possible.
Mrs. Sprott, in declaring the party open, commented on the beautiful setting for the sale of work, and also on the fine quality of goods on all the stalls, and later made a round of these.
Mr.L. H. C. Smith (people's warden) spoke of the impending retirement of the Bishop and Mrs. Sprott, and voiced the regret which was felt by all, with thanks for the many years of kindness and consideration shown to all people in. their years of office. He expressed the wish of all that the Bishop Mrs. Sprott would have health and happiness for many years

Good entertainment was given by pupils of the Jenkins Physical* Culture Studio, also:, English folk dancing by pupils, of St. Cuthbert's Sunday Schools and wand .drillfby members of the Rbseheathv'Guide: Company. * Special pleasure w'as= given by .the Wellington Tramway Band; which played musical selections.
