THEFT OF A HORSE
. JUDGE'S WARNING ' *
(By Telegrapli—Press Association.)
HAMILTON, May 3L Still protesting his innocence, Robert Mclntyre, aged 30, who was found guilty of receiving a stolen horse, appeared for sentence today. Mr. Justice Reed stated that, like the jury, he disbelieved the story of tee accused. Strictly speaking Mclntyre was a habitual criminal, and he would probably be declared such if he ■ appeared in court again. He had ability, and it was a pity he had not devoted it to an honest life. He would be sentenced to twelve months' imprisonment with hard labour.
