TE ARO SCHOOL ASSOCIATION

The annual general meeting of the Te Aro School Association was held recently. There was a large attendance' of members, Mr. Hennessy, president of the association, presiding. The report and balance-sheet disclosed that the activities of the past year had. had. very satisfactory results. The school is situated in an ideal position, but unfortunately ' through lack of funds it is impossible to make improvements to the grounds. Members of the association, the headmaster, and the staff expressed the hope that the school committee will make an effort to organise a scheme of improve* ments to the grounds and approaches to the school. ; - The following officers were elected:— President, Mr. Hennessy; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. Placket, Fantham, and Graham: hon. secretary and treasurer, Mrs. J. O'Donnell; executive, Mesdames Duncan, Johnson, Gibson, and Messrs. 'Chinn and Rogers.
