Wyatt explains that he put his opponents' in because a matting wicket remains the same throughout, and consequently there is no advantage in batting first. , He adds that the batting order was altered with a view to taking off the shine from the ball without risking valuable wickets. If the move had been successful, it -would. have enabled the team to go for the runs; •if unsuccessful, the sounder batsmen would play out time. (
