West Indies declared at lunch and sot England to got 325 runs to win. Five were down for 71 and England faced defeat. Wyatt went at 75, Hendren at 79, and Ames and Iddon at 103. Leyland, who was twice dropped/ was clean bowled by Constantino with the penultimate ball of tho day. Half a minute more would have meant a draw. Amazing, scenes followed, as' a great cheering crowd rushed the field, lionising their idol, Constantino. The captains and an umpire each took action against body-lino at various stages. First on Saturday G. Grant took off Constantino when the latter bowled short-pitched bumpers; secondly, Wyatt today remonstrated with Smith on his leg theory and insisted on a change of methods; thirdly, an umpire, Mr. Arthur Richardson, spoke to Grant when Constantino .bowled short bumpers, two of which ' went over Ames's head.
