NEW SEASON OPENING
NELSON CONSIGNMENTS
The 1935 fruit export season commenced yesterday when tho inspection sheds were opened to receive fruit at Nelson, Mapu.i, and Motueka. At Mapua 500 cases were handled, at Nelson 200, and a further small quantity enmo forward from the orchards at Motueka. Gravonstoin and Worcester Pearmain are tho two early varieties being received for the first shipment from the Dominion by the Akaroa, which will leave Wellington on February 4 with 2000 cases for Southampton.
