RATES OF WAGES AND HOURS
Conciliation council proceedings in connection with tho printing trade dispute aro being held in Wellington today under the chairmanship of the Commissioner (Mr. P. Hally). Tho employees' organisation has made application for a 15 per cent, increase in wages and for a'reduction of working hours: The employers' coun-ter-proposals are for substantially the present rates of wagea and hours.The employers' assessors are Messrs. E. C. Huie, C. W. Earle, J. M. Hardcastlo, B. H. Billins, representing the' New Zealand Fedorated Newspaper Proprietors' Industrial Association "of Employers, and A. Dennison, H. Harris, and B. C. Jacobs, representing tho New Zealand. Master Printers' Industrial Association of Employers.- _ Tho assessors for the employees are Messrs. C. H." Chapman, M.P., A. B. Clark, J. Mclnnarney, W. A.-P. Groves, and E. J. Patton, representing the New Zealand Printing and Belated Trades Industrial Association of Workers.
Applications,, for' exemption from the list of parties were dealt with at this morning's session.
