' It was reported to a special meeting of the University Council that over 2,0 students who commenc&i the course) last year will not be readmitted to the Medical School. 'The report stated that 83 applications had been received for admission to the second-year . classes, of whom 53 had passed the Medical Intermediate examination or its equivalent, 'and Would be accepted.* Four had probably complied with the requirements of "the examination, and on verification would also bo accepted. One applicant • was' hot qualified. Twenty-five wero sitting for a special examination, and.of these the three who obtained the most, satisfactory results would be accepted.
