MR. TYNDALL'S POSITION

APPOINTMENT SUPPORTED

Support for the appointment of Mr. A... Tyndall to the position of UnderSecretary of Minesj; was. given by 'Mr. : W. A. Bodkin (Government, Central Otago), in the House of yesterday afternoon. "I want to, pay a tribute to Mr. Tyndall for the way he is handling the job," said Mr. Bodkin. "It is a big job, and he is the man for the job." Goldniining was one industry which offered employment, and the Government had selected a very capable man to reconstruct the industry. The legislation was out of date in many respects, and one of the duties ahead Was to make the industry such 'an industry that it would appeal to capital.
