WOMEN AS PILOTS
A well-known English aircraft designer and pilot publicly remarked recently, after reflection, that if he were compelled to travel as passenger, without dual controls, and to choose between a man and a woman of equal experience as the pilot, he would prefer to fly with the woman. The man advanced as his reasons the statements that a woman would be far steadier than a man and that she would be more likely to resist any temptations to "show off."
