ST. JOHN AMBULANCE
HUTT VALLEY SUB-CENTRE
At a meoting held at' Lower Hutt last evening,;and presided over by the Mayor (Mr. J. W. Andrews), a Hutt Valloy Sub-centre of- the St. John Ambulance Association was-formed.
An address on the growth and aims and objects of tho society was given by Dr. J. S. Elliott, chairman of the Wei lington Centre, who was accompanied by Dr. C. Morice afid Mr. C. Meaclien, secretary. .Dr. Elliott emphasised that there were throe main ■ divisions of the brigade in the Hutt Valley—Lower Hutt Nursing, Lower Hutt Railway Ambulance, , and , Petone Ambulance. These divisions .were prominent on all sports grounds every .Saturday. It was hoped, with, the setting up of a sub-centre, that the, divisions would have no further.Worry as,to recruiting. Di\ Elliott, enumerated the various objects of a ; sub-centre. • . . ~
