INQUEST UNNECESSARY.
MURDER OF SAMUEL LAKEY

AUCKLAND,' August 0.
The adjourned inquest into the death of Christobel Lakey, which was opened at Huntly on .October 16, is to be resumed tomorrow. When the inquest was .opened evidence of identification was taken and the inquest was adjourned sine die. Mrs. Lakey and her husband, Samuel Lakey, were murdered on their farm at Ruawaro on October 15.
It has been decided b.\ the SolicitorGeneral that it will not be necessary to hold an inquest into tho death of Samuel Lakey.
