CARNIVAL AT CHRISTMAS

HOKITIKA, This Day
A public meeting'last -evening decided to hold an old-identities' carnival during Christmas week to celebrate the seventieth, anniversary of Hokitika. -
A strong executive was appointed, and it was resolved that the first day of the Racing Club meeting be held on Boxing Day and the second on the following Saturday, the Thursday and Friday being devoted to carnival proceedings on an extensive scale.
