CHURCH MEETING
ST. ANDREW'S PRESBYTERIAN
The ninety-fourth annual meeting of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, The Terrace, wns held last evening, the Rev. 3?. H. Wilkinson, interim moderator, presiding over an attendance of about 200.
In moving the adoption o£ the annual report, Mr. Wilkinson expressed apprecia-' tion of the cordial and unanimous support he had received a.s interim moderator. He mentioned specially the work of the selection committee set up in connection with the vacancy caused by the. departure of the Rev. B. J. Howie for Melbourne, the session, and the board.of managers. The congregation had been pulling together in a spirit of good will that was one o£ tho spiritual marks of a living congregation. He urged those iv positions of responsibility in the congregation to keep going in the same spirit. The report indicated prosperity in every phase of church life. He referred specially to the outstanding preaching of the Key. T. Tait, who had been filling the pulpit during the vacancy. (Applause.) ; The ad6ption of the report was seconded by Mr. W. S. W. McGowan and carried.- Extracts from the report have already been published in "The Post." ■ The adoption.of -the -report of the session was moved by' Mr. W. McLay and seconded by Mr; H. D. Grocott.
■The.-hon. treasurer,/JVlrv'.-H.' Paton, in moving the adoption of the repori of the board of managers, said he expected the congregation to continue the loyal support accorded in the past. He thanked the hon. auditor, Mr. J. W. Jack! lor his services.
